The Crabby Toaster Oven

Friday, April 17, 2009

p90579.jpg      The Deadliest Catch brothers were recently on the Bonnie Hunt Show.  They told about the dangers of fishing for king crab in the freezing sea.  As part of their presentation, they showed how to make a crab melt sandwich in their on-board toaster oven. This is another example of the versatility of the ubiquitous toaster oven.  Get a toaster oven for your boat! Here is the recipe for one of their favorite shipboard crab fests:  English muffins, 1/3 cup shredded parmesan cheese, 1 cup king crab meat, 1/2 tsp garlic salt, sliced swiss cheese, sliced american cheese and 1medium tomato sliced.  Toast English muffins. Mix the crab meat, garlic salt and shredded parmesan cheese.  Assemble the sandwich in the following order: English muffin, sliced tomato, crab meat mixture, and sliced cheeses.  Put under the toaster oven broiler and cook until cheese melts.  Yum!!!!
